I think you have something wrong in the article:

"He found that ‘In the 12 months to 31 May 2006 the Government passed 3,621 separate pieces of legislation. Yes, that is more than 100 new sets of rules and regulations for each day of the year."

Wouldn't that be:

300 per month or 10 per day.. not 100?

Is there something about "progressivism" which lets loose lots of totalitarian governmental wannabees to hamstring humans???

Or did someone just decide it was time to get rid of that pesky, dusty old Magna Carta and the many rights it inspired???
